NOTD- OPI Lincoln Park After Dark DUPE!

Hi dolls!

I have posted about this before but I've found a dupe for OPI's very famous Lincoln Park After Dark! But this time I'm going to be actually showing you the comparision- see for yourself! =]

OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark
Rimmel's Deliciously Dark To be honest it does really depend on the picture, when it's taken in natural light, both colours look lighter (like a very dark plum). However when there's no light my nails look BLACK. Seriously, these polishes are not for the faint hearted!!

Here's a pic of my nails (Rimmel's Deliciously Dark) taken in artificial light: As you can see, in artificial light it's a lot lighter (more wearable).

Is it just me that thinks that nail polish colours such as black aren't very wearable?

How To Get Clear, Flawless Skin

Everyone wants gorgeous, clear, flawless skin. Unfortunately, not all of us are born with it, so I've got 5 tips to help you achieve better skin.

Wash your hair away from your face. If you wash your hair towards your face, all the nasty oil, dirt and bacteria will land straight on your face! You should be washing your face twice a day anyway, but it is essential that you wash your face at night. This is because your skin cells renew at night. You do not want them to renew when your face is dirty.Avoid touching your face at all! This is important. You do not want to transfer bacteria from other sources onto your face and potentially lead to a breakout.Change your pillowcases regularly. This is so the oil/dirt/products from your hair will not get on your face.Exfoliate your face once in a while to remove dead skin cells. Do not over exfoliate your face, as this is damaging to the skin.Get ready to have gorgeous skin!

Some Really Pretty Eyeshadows!

Hey there! Gosh it's been ages hasn't it!

The other day I received some eyeshadows from Frontcover Cosmetics. I got 4 eyeshadows and a compact, which is £15- quite reasonable actually! You just put the eyeshadows you choose in the compact and wahla, your own custom made palette!

I chose (l-r) Azimuth, Twinkling Gold, Baked Bronze and Bougainvillea. All really pretty shades!

Here's a picture of the palette and its contents (quite small but fits all 4 of the eyeshadows snugly)

It comes with an actual eyeshadow brush rather than those rubbish sponge tip applicators.Yay! It's double sided, one side is for lid colour and the other is for crease colour (well that's what I use it for anyway!) There's a mirror too, very handy.

Here are swatches of the four shades (l-r): Azimuth, Twinkling Gold, Baked Bronze and Bougainvillea.

I have to say that they do need a few layers to reach their full potential, but those few extra minutes can make a big difference in the vibrancy o…

NOTD- at the salon!

Hello everyone.

The other day, I got my nails done professionally. I chose a really bright red colour which is actually the first time I've ever worn that sort of colour (never worn red or orange before).

What do you think? I personally quite like it.
Another pic:

However, I do not think that there was much point getting my nails done at the salon, it's a bit of a waste of money when I can probably do the same job at home.

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark dupe!

I've been eyeing up one of OPI's most famous nail polishes for a while now- Lincoln Park After Dark. Here's a pic of it:
But come on, it's quite expensive for a nail polish. So I was really excited when I saw the nail polish below- Rimmel's Deliciously Dark! It's so much cheaper and is practically the same colour, don't you think?
I can't do swatches because I don't own the OPI one, but from the looks of things they look pretty much alike! I also checked on the internet and it seems like the Rimmel one is an exact dupe.
Question of the day: What's your favourite nail polish colour?  Comment below with your answers, I'd love to hear what colours you like to wear on your nails xD

SUPER EASY nail art!

Hellloooo! I'm so excited to show you guys this.

Here's the finished look!

Paint the half of your nails black diagonally. Use tape if you don't have steady hands!Grab a white nail art polish and make dots, around 8-10. If you don't have a white nail art polish use a toothpick and white nail polish.Where the black polish ends, draw a straight line diagonally in silver nail polish. Again, I used a silver nail art polish. That's it!

How I scrunch my hair! + I got an award!!!

I got an award! From the lovely Holly The Liebster Award is designed to bring well deserved additional recognition to those bloggers with less than 300 followers. If you receive the award you link back to the blogger that nominated you and nominate 3 more blogs. I decided to chose 3 blogs that I discovered recently.. My awards go to:
*Jenny *Grace *Joanna

Moving on to part 2 of the post- scrunching hair!:

Everyone scrunches their hair differently, so I thought I'd share mine with you guys. It's an overnight process and requires styling in the morning, but you don't need to do the overnight part. That's just for more defined curls :)

The Overnight Part #1
It's simple, braid damp hair into 2/3/4 chunky braids before bed. Since I want looser waves, instead of super tight curls (almost like crimps) I do 2 braids.

In The Morning #2
1. If your hair is still slightly damp, great, but if not, just spritz some water.
2. Get your hands on some mousse. Any kind works fine!
3. Bend you…

Creating an Outfit from my Favourite Clothes!

Hey! I've found some pieces of clothing which I really like. I thought I'll make it into an outfit and show you :)
This actually isn't a dress, it's a playsuit :) I hate dresses, they're so annoying!
I wouldn't actually wear these in public... well maybe I would. They're so cool xD  For a less crazy brave look, I would wear these: Aah, that's more like it. <sighs with relief> This clutch is soooo cute- I just hope they're not real feathers :o
For this outfit, I'd probably do my hair really laid back, something like loose waves :) Makeup wise, well, not much. Subtle is key!
Anyway, let me know which clothing item you liked the most. Mine is the clutch!
EDIT: This post previously got deleted, and so did the comments. The post has reappeared but the comments are lost :( Hopefully they'll come back, but new comments WILL show up so please comment! xD

Aussie Hair Products!

I've had these three products for a while and I thought that I would review them.
I have:

First I should explain what my hair type is- I DO NOT have frizzy hair, but I do have loads of flyaways. Other than that, my hair is pretty normal well it would depend on what you call normal. It's long (ish) and a bit wavy. OK, enough of my hair... lets start the actual review.

I honestly don't get all the hype for the smell. I mean, it's naaaaaaasty! It's sickly sweet- eww. Oh, and all 3 of them smell the same.

Shampoo: Soft.
Conditioner: Softer.
3 Minute Miracle: Softest!

No. I still have flyaways and my normally non-frizzy hair has turned slightly frizzy.

Extra comments:

The shampoo lathers up nicelyThe 3 Minute Miracle does pretty much the same job as a good conditionerI repeat: they do not smell goodHave you tried out any Aussie products? If not, what hair products from any other brand do you recommend?

Barry M Nail Paints Review!

Aah, Barry M Nail Paints. They are awesome! I have them in:

Berry Ice Cream

Mint Green

I also have an Instant Nail Effects in Black, review here
And I have a limited edition glittery navy colour and a limited edition pink.

I don't have too many actually, I used to buy different brands. BUT, now that I've found these, I won't be switching back to any of my more expensive nail polishes which are nowhere near as good as these. These last, without chipping, for a week. That is loooooooong for a nail polish, trust me.

My favourite is Turquoise, it looks gorgeous on my tanned skin and also my friend's pale skin. I'm not sure how it looks on dark skin, but I'm pretty sure it would look good too.

Cheap Long lastingBeautiful colours!Cons: Some of the nail paints are really sheer and need 3 coats to get a decent colour.

However, if anyone knows any other good nail polishes, let me know please! I'm a nail polishaholic xD
